Worked perfectly with my igloo cooler. Had it running for 2 days in the hotel room when we went away.
Quiet power source for FM transmitterJan 20, 2010
I use the Soundfly car FM transmitter in my home to transmit the analog signal from my computer to my home theater's tuner. The Soundfly is designed specifically for use in a car, so its built-in cigarette lighter plug is the only way to power it.
Power adapters with the cigarette lighter socket built into the adapter unit interfere with the FM signal, creating static. The Wagan 5 amp converter has its socket separated from the adapter by a sufficient length of cord to eliminate this problem.
Now the sound I'm getting from my computer through my home theater is clean and full ranged.
I highly recommend this adapter to anyone interested in powering a car FM transmitter indoors.

Yes, it does run a little hot, but it ran solidly for a week in our hotel room powering our ~4A cooler and is still going strong. Did everything we asked of it, and at a very good price for the current capacity.
